Woteva floats your boat, Flashy. It looks like a Fat Frog to me (Smirnoff Ice, orange Breezer + blue WKD)

One of my friends organises our local chapter of ‘Skeptic in a pub’ talks. Easily the most interesting monday nights you can spend in a pub.

‘Green Drinks is not a channel to circulate announcements or news about environmental issues. Green Drinkers are already deluged with information from thousands of other sources. Green Drinks is a place to go to get away from all that.’ 🙄
Err, how about this, if you’re interested in environmental issues but need to get away from them, drink with people who aren’t? 😆

Flashy – a man after my own heart. The Green Monster used to be a first drink of the evening. Back in the days when a strategic vom or two would be par for the course on a night out

    1 pint glass
    1 bottle of K Cider
    1 bottle of Lowenbrau Pils
    1 Double Blue Bols
    I Double vodka

    Result: Bright green pint!

    Tally Ho!!!! 😀

An advert for those with an eco-living bent to meet up and chat. Seems a bit odd, but each to their own and all that.

Flashy’s pint looks like the green light for a trio of exhibition ciders called a ‘traffic light’, that are coloured with Bols. Drank one in a The Star of the West pub in Plymouth years back and got mightily pished. You had to sink them quickly one after another.

It seems a bit like Critical Mass but without the bikes.

    strategic vom

I’ll have you know that it’s called a “Tactical chunder”.

Uni hall bar used to have a concoction called a Grendel. It was green. WTF was in it I cannot remember. But it certainly got the job done!

Sign of Spring, as per my image above, is a damned fine beer, however. Forged in the mad mind of the marvellous Stig at Stonehenge Ales.

That’s a fine idea. I’m up for that Harry! Who else is in? 😀

As long as we don’t have to wear dungarees, that is?

    What have we done?

We, as a species, fecked the planet and keep **** the planet. This is part of the reaction. Does it particularly offend or are you a Mail knee-jerker to most things?

No we haven’t. We’ve fecked it up for us – the planet is big enough and old enough to look after itself, and when the time comes it’ll shrug off humanity and carry on quite happily.

ben – I thought it was general enough and anthropocentric enough for stw. My point still stands – this is part of the reaction to what we as a species keep doing to stuff. Is that OK?

The reaction to global environmental apocalypse is to drink green beer? 😉

It isn’t the cause… it is the fact that they have to publish guide lines to go to the pub.

There is generally no agenda or theme, Green Drinkers mingle and share insights and provoke and exasparate and inspire and delight each other. There are moments of serendipity and a lot of ‘oh, you if are interested in X then I must introduce you to that person over there who knows all about it’ …

What if somebody needs to take a poo? Where are the instructions for that?

    Pah, that’s no green pint!

    Take one pint glass
Fill it with the lastest release of mountain dew.

That’s it, but by Christ it’s green! And semi luminous. And delicious 😳

Soton Uni / Monte Hall bar?

Blue Bols, Green Bols, Cointreau, 2x vodka (or might have been 4x), 2x advocaat or baileys, something like that, then topped to a pint with lemonade.

Was more turquoise than green. Tasted almost non-alcoholic. Down in one. Then all the shots hit 20mins later.

The original, or the newer one when they’d made Monte the size of Paris?

Oh, and, “Stoneham, Stoneham….Where’s your bar?” 🙂

Flash & others, round our way it was known as a ‘Green Meanie’.

All I know is that it didn’t half make me fall over quickly!

When it was in the Pavilion.

Think the original original was in what became the caretaker’s shed round near the railway (end of A block?).

Not sure where the new bar is since the massive expansion. Assume they have one still?
