Thinking about getting the bottom end carbon 29er, anyone got the grand canyon, carbon, or non carbon?

What are your thoughts on it?

I had the Alloy 8.9. Fast as **** but no soul and a harsh back end. Sold it and replaced with a Swift.

Mine is great.

Got an alu 7.9 last October, mainly as a winter ht, but been riding it and xc racing it all year. It is what it is, an xc hardtail, but it’s fun to ride and yep, fast. Carbon version might soften out the back end a bit, but I haven’t found it bad in that regard, considering the type of bike and what its aimed at. Feels like its always straining on the leash to go faster, which has to count for something in the character stakes.
