    Notepad should do, they’re XMLs. That, or Garmin Basecamp.

    By file reading, do you mean upload & display a nice map ?

    If yes then https://www.walklakes.co.uk/maps/ or http://www.gpsies.com

    walklakes gives full screen OS maps if you log in.
