Looking at a garmin edge 500 and wondering if other manufacturers offer something similar.

All i want is something to help me get fit, record rides etc. But it should also be mac compatible and it would be nice if it offered basic route guidance. Not after full os maping, just plan a route download it and follow a breadcrumb type mapping.
