Cheers, they haven’t got a method of online donations. Anyone know the easiest or best way to do that for the not so tech savvy.

    Paypal gift.

Probably actually a sensible payment method in this case, (you’d need to get an e-mail address, which would probably be best done through the facebook page)

From the little girls Mum. the worth of a pint donated. Will help. They’re doing sponsored walks and bake sales. The girl has cerebral palsy and the walking bike would make a big difference.

“I wasn’t able to manage getting a page set up I have a PayPal account if anyone would wish to make a donation it is taniascott123@btinternet.com hope this helps”

    £2000 for that, really?
The cowboys that produce them need to seriously consider their business ethics… 😡

Well the not well off parents want to help their child. They’ll pay what it costs if they can raise it.

For that price, she should be getting hydraulic discs at least! 😉

I have donated, I was just pointing out the scandalous profiteering by whoever it is that makes them…

Lerk, I agree with you, sorry if it seemed I otherwise. I’ve seen a couple of these type of Bike and they’re pretty chunky. As if the kids didn’t have enough issues. But then I guess anything lightweight will be well out their price range.

They could have at least put brake levers on them that small hands could actually reach like the Islabike levers.

I seem to have got myself a reputation for repair specialist ‘bikes’ like this. The quality and the cost is staggering. More often than not they’re an £80 bso with a shit mild steel frame. It beggars belief really. I know there are other costs involved in the manufacturer and development of them but I struggle to believe that they can’t be made to a higher standard.

Just in case anybody missed the other thread, we are going to be hosting a pumptrack race night at the Scottish Mining Museum on the evening of the 8th of May to raise money for Kelsey. Hopefully we’ll have two pumptracks so everybody can have a go. Racing won’t be compulsorily but hopefully we can get some good racing going so it’ll be good fun to watch too. Come along, it’s all for a good cause.
