Iirc, the time cut offs for the Kielder 100 were based on 8mph, and a lot of people struggled to hit those.

I tend to average 22kmph on my cross bike, on mainly solo road rides.

Strava said I did 16.5 mph on a flat MTB race was a quick one for me.

I reckon 10 mph or more on a lumpy 2hr MTB ride is good and 20 mph on a road bike ave for 50 mile + is also good.

17.9mph….av ( from strava) in a 45mile ride around Surrey hills on Sunday.
    On mtb? Wowzers.

Only ever timed myself once on Marin (Betws). This puts me at 9.8mph (49th on Strava leaderboard). Reckon I could do it quicker on FS, but only very marginally.

I wish….my roadie……but it was 2495 feet of climbing inc newlands corner, pebble hill and Reigate hill

My average would be a lot quicker if it wasn’t for the stupid swirly gusty wind that seems to plague almost every bloody road ride I’ve been on for the past few months 🙁

A day being any time under 24 hours or being knackered whichever comes first. called by the wife and asked why you haven’t put up the shelves, sorted the rubbish and why there are empty biscuit packets in the cupboard

    Yeah, that’s what I really meant 🙂

I’m 11 packet of biscuits in and feeling very sick, and slow.
My average is 1/2 a packet every hour.
