For those who might be heading for this bothy, it’s now a burnt out shell. Some poor bloke had an accident with a faulty gas canister and set the place, and himself, alight. He survived relatively unscathed, the bothy didn’t.

Thanks for that. Hope he heals quick. Any plans for a workparty?

There’s a lot of discussion and as it seems to have a place in a lot of peoples hearts I suspect it’ll be rebuilt. It is an MBA maintained Bothy. From the comments I’ve read on the UK Bothies forum,the poor chap lost most of his gear. Better that than his skin!!

Ooops! I feel kind of bad for automatically assuming it was pissed up neds or something. Pretty scary that a wee gas canister could do that much damage, hope the guy recovers quickly!
