HELP: Got chance of some Pikes off a 2015 enduro, can’t find what steerer length I need for my Trance 2, but the Pikes steerer is 180mm, would these fit.

What length HT is your Trance? Or what year and size is your trance?

Sounds potentially ok…40mm for stem, integrated headset say 25mm so that leaves 115mm for headtube and maybe some spacers

Easiest way to check is to measure from the bottom of your headtube to the top of your stem and see what length it is.

You don’t say what year your trance is but some of them used Giant Overdrive headtubes which are not a standard size so the Pikes may not fit.

    This one? http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-in/bikes/model/trance.27.5.2/15149/66891/#specifications

If so it has a Giant Overdrive 2 steerer which is 1 1/4″ on the top and 1.5″ on the bottom.

A Specialized enduro is 1 1/8″ top and 1.5″ bottom steerer which is a more standard size so it will not be a straight fit to your frame. You would need to see if you can source a new top half of your headset (for 1 1/8″ steerer) before you could fit the Pike.

Yeh I don’t mind changing the headset? Just seeing if the steerer length would be OK? Thanks for the help

Very easy to replace the headset, and giant have veryshort headtubes so it should fit at 180mm.
