Anyone been? Worth it? Tips please….

Well worth it (done it a few times including the sad 2006 event), we got tickets from here;

and sorted out hotels and trains rather than a package through a tour provider. Ghent’s a realy nice city, easy to get to and lots to look at, eat and drink during the day. Saturday night is the big night on the track.

Tips, beer and chips are good – you buy tokens to spend at the bars; snails from a snack bar are not such a good idea!!.

I have. Ghent is a really nice little city, make sure you have a look round, and visit Plume Vanquer (sp?) bike shop.
For the 6 itself, you pay to get in, then buy tokens that you exchange for beer in the track centre. If you get the chance, drive out of Ghent towards Aalst and go to Van Eyck Sport, who h is probably the best bike shop in the world.
