    Any clues?

Someone has built a site which supposedly sucks them out.

Last time I tried neither Garmin Basecamp, the Edge nor GPSies would accept them as a valid route. I did get one to work in the past but I must have found some program that wasn’t so fussy then re-exported but can’t remember/work out what I used.

I’ve used this site, has always worked fine for me copying them straight to my Edge 800.

This is probably not helpful, but I managed this the other day with some googlefu, however when I went to use the route on the 800 the start point of the gpx was somewhere in Africa, rather than the New Forest. Once I was on the track itself it was ok, but wouldn’t navigate to the start point. I think this maybe because the person whose track it is may have put down a phony home address….

i saw a new feature in this the other day to download a training partner on a segment. not tested it yet though.

That’s the site I used but they were failing. Where do you copy them to on the Edge (maybe I copied them there and then downloaded)

I copy them to the New Files folder on the Garmin. My understanding is any gpx’s you copy to there get convereted by the Garmin next time you turn it on then they just show up in courses.

I last used it a few weeks ok so I guess it’s possible it’s not working anymore but it definately used too.
