    Hi im looking at getting a genesis IO ID and fitting a pair of conti double fighters for my tax free commuting bike 9works out spot on £1k 😉
    the 14 miles to work a mix of tarmac,border abbeys way and river side /fishermans path along the river teviot .

    is anyone using io id for this purpose and hows the alfine holding up?
    any other issues with the io id i should know about ?

    You could ask Dave at Bothy Bikes (Aviemore) or anyone at the Hub (Glentress) for feedback – they both run hire fleets of iO ID’s and the conditions up there can be harsh. No issues in 2 years.
    As long as you don’t do high-speed rock gardens or to-flat drops, it’s fine. I’d try to avoid jetwashing like any hub though, and a service before the winter is good preventative maintenance.

    There’s that mention of a service again…..

    James-O – what does this service consist of? I thought the hub was dry, so no oil change. Ummm……what is it then?
