    The baby boomers were prepared to graft & save for their future whereas subsequent gens were more into instant gratification?

    Yes, because their parents knew hardship, so they worked hard to avoid the fate of their parents. On the whole, we’ve had it easy, so we are working to avoid the fate of our parents which in our eyes is being a mortgage slave and not doing anything fun.
