I have a Garmin Edge 305 which I really like. I’ve noticed on a couple of rides now that when I upload the route to the garmin website the maximum speed on the website is considerably higher than the maximum speed recorded on the unit. Now, whilst I’m not complaining about this I just wondered which one was likely to be more realistic? I’d love to be able to claim I’m reaching 40mph+ on singletrack but even I’m not that awsum 😉
