    Hi

I know there's a few of you from Brighton on here and I was wondering if you could recommend a good hotel in Brighton that doesn't cost the earth. I found Snooze which looked ideal, loads of character and a little different but they aren't open when I am looking at going, can you suggest anywhere else?

    Thanks

    James

it's a "weekend" hotel deffo, in the couples sense! 😉

i spent 4 years in brighton, love the place and the vibe..
(no i'm not gay before some smart sod chimes in!)
the town hall is amazing (it's a palace)
"the lanes" are bohemian and fun packed with great shops (make sure you go to both sides!! most people don't).
Go to the marina, as you come to an roundabout at the bottom take a right then look for some steps on the left almost behind the petrol station, this leads to the floating pergola. a lovely and fun floating Chinese restaurant in the bay.
take a little time out and go to the preston park just near the a23 (you will pass it if you come in on the M23/a23).
obviously walk along the beach, the stalls and people are good too.

oh i stayed in sea spray too. a little more less brighton like.. for me. more "smart hotel" liked the other for being different and making me laugh.. nice bar too.. PS3 sponsored now but not a cheap hotel but different.

The Cavalaire is brilliant! Upper Rock Gardens.

Hotel Una. Good rooms, each one of them is unique. On regency square with the better rooms having views over the gardens. Really helpful when we checked in late (1am). Top rated on trip advisor if that helps.

Yeah it was a little on the pricey side, but I was looking for something unique, it's a real shame snooze isn't available.

I'll check out Cavakaire and Una.

Yeah I want something that has character, a hotel that isn't the same as one I could get anywhere.

I always use the Hotel du vin, it's very good indeed.

If HDV brighton is as good as Tunbridge wells one I'd stay there.
