  • Fun commuting bike on C2W – recommendations?

Starting a new job that’s less than a 10 minute drive on a clear road away – i reckon about 15 – 20 minute cycle at a leisurely pace.

So, C2W – go go go!

Looking at a Cotic Roadrat – looks fun and comfortable. I’m not really after a road bike as such… I’d like something more relaxed, a bit tougher round the edges… something that can be bombed round a mates or up to a local pub…

So whats the current crop of “STW Approved C2W fun bikes”?

    Cheers!

Roadrat works for me. Had mine for about seven years and it has evolved from a 27 speed tourer, through a hub-geared 8 speed do-anything bike to its present incarnation as a single-speed commuter. It will even take spiked tyres for running in the winter. Rack mounts, full mud guards and comfortable ride are the key ingredients for me.
