Really good friend of mine wants to race relentless with me in october, but is having travel related issues.

current plan would be to leave the race early for an 11.40 am (5 hour) train to edinburgh, then fly from there to exeter, getting in at around midnight, before a 12 hour shift starting at 7.30 on the monday.

i guess its gonna be pretty difficult, but anyone got any ideas of how it can be done any easier? her lift has gone, so it seems the train/flight is the only option 🙁

That or fly from Inverness or Glasgow.

Or take a couple of days as a sickie and enjoy the journey home.

Is flying from Aberdeen any use? I think they go to Bristol – would just need to get the bus into Bristol train station & the train down to exeter.

GLA – EXT on a sunday is a 2pm departure. Not much use.
GLA to BRS at 6pm is the best option, but connections between BRS and exeter could be poor late on a Sunday night.

    Leave a car at BRS?

Have you looked into the Caledonian Sleeper? Doesn’t go anywhere near Exeter but does go to That London and all roads lead there…

Plenty of connections from Bristol Temple Meads to Exeter on a Sunday night. Last one is at 9.44pm.
