  • Front ring for 10 speed?

Currently have a 1×9 set up having just put on a new E-13 front single.
However I’m looking to get a 10 speed set up, ie rear mech, cassette, shifter and chain.

But I keep seeing these new ’10 speed’ front crank sets… I assume they are referring to cranksets with specially toothed front chain rings for 10-speed chains?

But I’m hoping I wont have to change my new front single ring when I go to 10 speed. So, will it work with a 10 speed chain? Can anybody shed some light for me.

You won’t. 10 speed chains have the same internal diameter as 9 speed, just the plates are thinner.

I have the E13 ring running on 10 speed XX fine here.
