So, ive currently got a bog standard 3 ring lx front mech working with an xt chainset converted to 2×9. The mech is starting to give up the ghost, so a replacement is required.

Will one the the new sram x7/x9 2 ring specific front mechs work? Not sure if new 2×10 front mechs have a different cable pull or wont work with a 9spd chain.

The SLX double front mech works very well for me on a 2×9 setup.

yep SLX M661 is the way to go work great on a double set up.

The SLX one’s a wee bit cheap and nasty- the plastic bit on top especially- but it works brilliantly and weighs barely more than an XTR triple. Very good
