I don't think anyone is being "repressed about death". Ask yourself why you want to read that piece, and why the Mail wanted to publish it. Ask yourself whether your own sofa-based heart-attack in jogging bottoms and a curry-stained t-shirt after over-exerting yourself assembling a cheap Ikea wardrobe ("Witnesses state that Mark's last words were "****. Ow. ****. Gaarrr. Then he lost control of his bowels") would be newsworthy, or whether anyone would want to read it. 🙂

That said, the twin subjects of death and sex intrigue us.

They simply wouldn't bother printing the story if it had been a bloke. But the same points would apply to my mind. There would still be absolutely no news value to the story, and it is intrusive and vaguely degrading.

Not in the public interest, can't see that it's news, it's one thing to rake over people who put themselves in the public eye, criminals and the like but what had she done to deserve this, or her family.
