Christ get a grip. We all die. Why are the English so repressed about death?
I don't think anyone is being "repressed about death". Ask yourself why you want to read that piece, and why the Mail wanted to publish it. Ask yourself whether your own sofa-based heart-attack in jogging bottoms and a curry-stained t-shirt after over-exerting yourself assembling a cheap Ikea wardrobe ("Witnesses state that Mark's last words were "****. Ow. ****. Gaarrr. Then he lost control of his bowels") would be newsworthy, or whether anyone would want to read it. 🙂
Do you seriously think that that news item is supposed to contribute something positive to a national attitude towards dying? You were supposed to read it, snigger and send it to your mates to have a snigger over. And that's exactly what you've done. 🙂
