Anyone know what our metric-loving, beret-wearing, cheese-hooning French brethren call big wheelers?
    Can’t be vingt-neufers can it?
Please insert own ‘roue de Pierrot’ gags.

Babel Fish supplies the following translation: –

“Appelez ce un vélo, avec eux de grandes roues de chariot là-dessus – il n’a aucun panache”

If you mean you want to ask about one in a shop, I’m pretty sure you would need to say “S’il vous plaît se caresser mes fesses“.

Say it nice and loud so they can understand you.

    Isn’t it soixante-neuf?

Here you go, this is foolproof, pronounce it as I’ve written it:

    “Bon-jaw, juh voo-dray oon swa-sont nerf siv-oo-play”

You can’t go wrong. A big smile at the end always helps too.

I bet they call them (at least the ‘cool’ people) “Twenty Niners”

Ooh, good point. I could go in at ‘Le Weekend’, ask for a vingt-neufer and watch as they look confused as they’re know them twantee-nayneurs.
Still don’t understand how they can apply a gender to, say, an armchair either. The place is a fcking linguistic minefield.

No man that’s not 29 your asking for there it’s 69.
Let me know if the smile and please work for you though.
