  • Freesole/ShoeGoo for repairing tyre sidewalls?

Was almost finished a flawless ghetto tubelessing when I realised there were two gashes in the outside ply of rubber on the sidewall of one of my tyres.

Has anyone tried Freesole or Shoegoo to repair this? they're designed to repair the soles of shoes so I'd guess they'll work…

When I used to repair skate shoes with shoegoo, you needed quite a lot to make it relatively solid so something to bond it to might help.Last time I repaired a sidewall it was with copter tape with extra araldite but a layer of shoegoo under it would probably work too.

Goodo, the gash has only gone as far as the threads, so if i work the freesole in it will be able to adhere to them hopefully.

will give it a try tomorrow, still trying to clear the brake cleaner fumes from servicing suspension in my bedroom 😳
