I need to cover up a few bit of cable rub on a matte black frame and shock can.

What have you had best results with? Car paint? Model enamels?

Ask that Fallon bloke, he’s good at touching up..

IIRC shock cans are anodized, which would mean that satin paint is the best match.

I normally use Humbrol model paint, it’s pretty tough and hardwearing.

I got a Hycote matt black car touch-up paint pen from Ebay. Seems fine and durable enough if you build up a few layers and let it cure for a couple of days.

As a side note, I cut some little strips of handlebar tape to use as brushes and kind of wiped it on. it’s easier to get a smoother, less blobby finish than using the brush attached to the cap.

Cheers guys. I’d already been googling humbrol enamel paints actually, think I will go with that if it worked for you.
