I shipped a bike and it got damged in transit: the rear end has been squashed – considerably.

The shipped now needs a repair quote (WTF) to pay out on the claim.

Any idea who I can ask to do this – especially remotley – the frame is in scotland & i’m in southampton!

    Local frame builder perhaps?

What material is the frame ?

Sounds like it could be more of a replacement rather than a repair quote.

    It’s steel.

absolutley; but that doesn’t stop Parcel2go needing a repair quote otherwise i can accept a reduced offer. 🙄

    Use Argos:

    2 seatstays, two chainstays, £400

    Price lists

    EDIT: £360 for rear triangle.

    Thats helpful of them !
I take you don’t have someone that can take it to a LBS and get them (for a small fee) to write a quote for the replacement ?

    Cheers. + paint.

The buyer – but he’s busy job hunting and already a bike down!

Of course P2G know that it’s my responsibility but the damaged goods will be at the other end. Seems like the system might be stacked against claiming! We’ll see.
