My adjustment knobs on my fork foul the down tube if I turn the forks past 90 degrees. I am not one for whips and spins, but I do like a good crash and I am a bit worried about the adjuster tearing a whole in the tube when the inevitable happens. I know that some new frames come with in built bumpers and some have stoppers in the headset, but is there anything I can retro-fit?

    Thanks

An external bearing on your headset might be enough (assuming it’s currently internal).

Well I went over the bars at the weekend, in the name of science and all that. Tube was strong enough but the paint chipped. Good thought on changing the headset cup though
