  • Fox vanilla rc rear shock – 2004 – service or replace?

    Hi all

I have a fox vanilla rc rear shock on my spesh pitch. It’s pretty good really but am thinking of getting of getting it serviced. Only thing is its then making me wonder should I save the service cost and put it towards a new or newer shock?

Are coil shocks significantly different/better in more recent years?

    TIA

I’d probably replace it with a modern air shock.

I had a 2001 Van R serviced and tuned for just over £100. Decent shock all in all but it depends what type of riding you do. Air shocks are almost as good these days.
