    Whats the general concensus?

    Which bike?
    Which model Pikes?

Pikes. I own coil 454s and Talas RLs, and the Pikes win every time. Far plusher and genuine fit-and-forget reliability

i’ve never ridden pikes, but i can say that my talas 32 R’s in 2008 flavour are brilliant!

Talas, I’ve had both. Talas are lighter, almost as stiff, better travel reduction and far more plush.

Float 130Rs didn’t do it on my Five but are great on the 456. Pikes on the Five work well.

    I’m 16st.

Depends on the bike, depends on the rider.

If from your user name, you’re riding a 5 Spot then the Pikes are generally considered a good match. Go onto the MTBR forum and check out the Turner thread.
