I’m in the process of buy a lightly used Float X Evol for my Transition Scout, which the seller tells me was bought after market.

Couple of questions, having been bought after market and not part of a full build/frame, I assume the shock shouldn’t have any tune (unless the seller has had this done).

And are Float X’s a good shock that’ll work well with the horst link suspension. It’s going to replace a Monarch RT3 witch I believe an M/M tune (and currently has a broken lockout).

I love my Float X – it was also bought after-market but I was asked for a frame / rider weight so I guess they come with some tailoring.

Well seller says nothing was set up for him when he bought it from his LBS, so that’s that answered (hopefully).

Poah, I ‘think’ the older frames, mines a 2016, where MM. There’s every chance I’m wrong though!

I’ll check when I get home but hopefully should make to much difference if it’s an un-molested shock?
