Looking at buying some 36s to replace my creaky pikes, seen somewhere that’s got last years (2016) forks in 150mm travel with about 10% off, not really fussed about having 2017s or last years.

Reading the fox website they use one of two air shafts up to 160mm or up to 180mm for the longer forks, can anyone confirm the 150mm forks can be changed to 160mm just by changing the position on the transfer shaft?

Your specific question – they say the below – so I think you could assume that the 150s are 160s spaced down, but assumptions are tricky things. I’d maybe give Mojo a call.

2015-2016 36 FLOAT 170mm and 180mm forks can be reduced in travel down to 130mm.
2015-2016 36 FLOAT 160mm forks can be reduced in travel down to 110mm.

2015-2016 36 FLOAT 160mm forks CANNOT be extended past 160mm of travel.
2015-2016 36 FLOAT 180mm forks CANNOT be extended past 180mm of travel.

That’s the bit I had read, will speak to mojo to be double sure.

    Thanks

You need to add a spacer to your negative Spring it threads on easy to do at home

I was looking to increase the travel rather than lower it, just trying to establish if the 150mm travel fork uses the 160mm transfer shaft.

    Thanks

    Dave.

Yes the 150mm fork will go up to 160mm travel. You need to remove the lowers and alter the screw position in the transfer shaft to extend it.
