    I have purchased some Fox 34 Talas 130 – 160mm forks with a 207mm steerer.

I have only just set up my bike (Whyte g150) but currently my forks (32 150mm) are at 195mm steerer which i am riding and with a 5mm spacer under the stem. I didnt want to cut my new forks straight away as this is a completley different frame (orange five) to my one before – is there any advice on how many spacers you should or shouldnt put on the forks?

You can have as many as you like above the stem without fear of damaging the fork or headset. I wouldn’t ride around with too much steerer above the stem though without wearing eye protection and a chest plate.
I imaging having too many spacers below the stem could end in failure depending on how you propose to ride with it like that.

Just play about with stem height until you are happy with it and are comfortable.

Spacers above or below to suit. Once settled on ideal height then cut steerer.
