Bought a nice set of fox 36”s to replace the stock forks that came withe bike. The e150 of the 2008 enduro. Reading around someone who was doing the very same thing also changed the headset. But I’m not sure if that is necessary? Am I wrong in thinking a headset is a headset? If it’s in the frame and the right size should any fork fit?

Steerer could well be different, do they fit? Do the steerers look the same?

I had an 08 Enduro and replaced the E150 with RS Lyrik. It’s a standard 1 1/8 straight steerer but I’d already replaced the factory fitted Cane Creek with an FSA Orbit MX but only because the Cane Creek one was goosed. Forks fitted with no problems whatsoever.

Just make sure you take the crown race off the bottom of the old fork steerer and fit it to the 36s!
