I couldn’t think of an easier to give directions and provide photos to remind you of junctions and trail names, so this is it…

A quick reminder of the trip we did to Grand Junction (not Fruita!)

You’ll have to use Google Maps to navigate to the start/end points

Leave the retrieval car at the large car park at the junction of Mariposa Dr and Monument Rd in Grand Junction. Back track towards Grand Junction and find Little Park Road. Drive uphill for about 6 miles to the (obvious?) car park on the right.

Start the Ribbon by climbing onto the plateau, following open rock areas and sandy trail.

When you get to this tree, I’m pretty sure you keep to the right. We went left to start with last time but that just leads to a cliff..

Once you drop off the plateau, the navigation is much easier once past this point.

At the end of the Ribbon, you end in a a deep canyon and then turn right to climb up Andys trail (back to the Little Park Rd).

We messed about in the dirt tunnel for a little while on Andy’s trail

Once back on the road, descend a little and pick up Lunch Line trail on the left (we stopped at the top of this for sessioning a rock roll where I went OTB.

We then climbed a little higher and actually had lunch break overlooking a canyon you just climbed out of

You then pick up the Free Lunch trail (where we photographed Adam doing a couple of big-ish drops

    P1030071.jpg by NorthVanMark, on Flickr[/img]

Then you pick up the Holy Cross trail (where Shane bust himself)

Then Ali Ali > Kurts Lane > Bentonite

At the bottom of Bentonite, follow the dirt trail slightly downhill back to the car park where the retrieval car is

Amy needs to get herself one of those fancy new fangled email addresses.

I’m beginning to think I know why she didn’t leave a proper forwarding address.

Nice pics, is that behind the Nationwide in Swindon?

Yeah, OK guilty as charged…I used Photoshop to make the sky slightly less blue.

It’s the new blue run at Dalbeatie but the sign posts aren’t up yet

So Heather is the new Amy, and Mark is the new Jamie. Somehow this thread became even more confusing, has anyone got lost and died yet?
