have a look here :#
edge carbon rims
chub hubs (from the Hive)
yeah - that helius AM 29'r has edge rims.....
TLR, fantastic looking bike the grey one.
but i dont want a susser to be honest, more than happy with my big old ventana gate thing.
i dinnae like the grey one - but Whafe's blue ane is growing on me.
bling - you need full carbon finishing kit and wheels.... simple as.....and a titanium bolt kit where appropriate....
Float F29 Terralogic Qr15...or Ragley carbon rigid Qr15.
I've just had an indi fab ti 29r made for me, its packed with Phil woods, pauls comp and white industries gear it cost me far too much but I gotta say its the Bollox and can't see me wanting another bike for a long time
Oh it will also be belt drive in about two weeks time
belt drive....nice.....stealthy
You've had a Swift before haven't you ? Pegasus is the way forward, can run rigid with Niner or sus (using 20mm axle Minutes) easy to swap between geared and SS. 4 bikes in one.
Your not that far away from me if you fancy a looksee, mines a large. Was using at HTN this year.
Glad to hear you've kept the Ventana big man!
EDIT: Boutique 1 x 9; Pedalhead's pegasus.
A crank like this tony
had a swift it was fantastic.
had a dark moment and sold it....**** knows why.
mick, fancy some white indusries cranks and some woods stuff maybe.
never tried any proper bling stuff............does it work any better than shimano/hope type normal stuff?
i know it certainly looks nicer.
Erm no it doesn't.....no no it does it does lol
29ers you say? You mean hybrids of course.
No hybrid would be complete without a rack for carrying shopping and books and stuff:

Tubus Titanium rack. One hundred and fifty pounds to you sir.
And how about some nice wooden mudguards?

And to top it all off, a lovely brass bell:
Bulbend I have one like this on my hybrid / 29er
one of these please

with ENVE wheels and rotor cranks
weight weenie wet dream, just needs riders under 85kg or it'll explode and kill you so no gentlemen of a more rotund nature need apply
taz, that is horroble.
no plastic on this build..............or very light stuff either come to think of it.
I9 wheel set is a must IMO.
Saw the demo set the rep bought in to my LBS before xmas and they are awesome & can be pimped out to match the frame & finishing kit
so what you want is some "boutique" gas pipe or ti welded in a shed by a bloke wiv a beard with fat boy components on? may as well save some money then and just buy an on-one
You are a bugger Ton; I am humming and hawing about buying a CHEAP 29 and you post a thread about pimping them out.
i designed this an it's currently being built,, somewhere far far away, due to arrive in 4 weeks
Is the FRM written upside down for when you stack it?
basing it on ragley geometry then ade?
it's like a td-1 except it is setup for 470mm forks 80mm stroke, shorter chainstays , swapout dropouts and estays
just like a td-1 it's a 29er
It's about time brant got his finger out and sorted a steel td1.
wors
+1
i did think about going for the non suspension corrected bike like the td-1 but i think it limits peoples choices too much,,
i'm sure Brant has something 29er up his sleeves ,but he is a very busy boy,, and has lots of hats to wear( Ragley nukeproof, etc etc),, he just might have mislaid his 29er hat at the moment , or maybe his kids have got it
Aren't 29ers crap though?
ton - Member29rs cos i thought with being big these bike would suit me and my build more, kidding myself that they rode better...........what a lot of old balls that idea is.
I honestly can't keep up.
scxc
i started this post to see what people would suggest as boutique.
nowhere in the thread have i said i am buying or planning to buy a new 29r.
OK mate, I love your bonkers approach to buying bikes...I'd be the same if I could afford it!
Ton thats the nature of forums especialy those with 29er in the title
Boutique to me is a bit dull these days - you have to make it beautiful as well as expensive. Expensive and boutique isn't always beautiful (Merida's green XC race bikes...).
Boutique? El Mariachi Ti, Black Sheep, Eriksen etc etc. King wheels, XTR..
GB
That brass bell is a beaut
