Im going to set up a scheme at work that will allow my employees to pick the benefits we offer to suit their needs. So, for example you could have more holidays and less pay, or more pay and less medical insurance, or more pension and less holiday etc. That sort of thing.

Has anyone got some examples of such schemes that I could look at to see how they work and what values people put on the various benefits they get ?

I think they use a company called Thomson Online Benefits to do this for us here at work. I'm not sure how much detail they have on their website as we use a completely seperate portal website to go and change our benefits package…

Hope that's at least some help…

holiday trading, dental insurance, critical illness insurance, childcare vouchers, bikes for work, a will writing service, travel insurance, additional life insurance, health check and a tax return service. Core employer-funded benefits, such as private medical insurance, can be extended to cover employees' family members through flex.

I get 3% of my salary in flexible benefit, and you can do loads:

    Private Medical Cover
    Voluntary Private Medical Insurance
    Private Dental Insurance
    Health Screening
    Health Cash Plan
    Elemis Spa Pod
    Elemis Day Spa
    AA Membership
    Magazine Subscriptions
    Travel Insurance
    Legal Services
    Wine Club
    Holidays
    Airport Lounge
    Retail Vouchers
    2 for 1 Tickets
    Pension

    Financial Counselling
    Critical Illness Cover
    Charity
FlexSA Cash (89% of amount shown is paid as cash)

We can also make pension AVC's via salary sacrifice i.e. before tax/NI which saves employees and employer ££££.

+ all the stuff boardingbob has mentioned.
