These bars had good reviews on first release – do they still cut the mustard, I'm thinking of giving them a go on my 29er?

Marys do the biz for me… If I can get something very similar but a bit wider I think I would try that instead.. the backsweep and choice of angles is bob on..

I like W-I-D-E bars (~28/29"), also my stems are oversize so I might well go Ragley or Mary route…

if you're going to, sort of make sure the ends point down to your rear axle, or maybe just a bit higher. I should do a diagram…

Perhaps pointing to where, er, sort of V brakes would be… But not not not pointing up (like I saw you had last time).

You sort of "lean into" them.

Carnegie's are very similar width to a 700mm-ish bar.

Hey Mike, are those riser bars? And these

CRC list them as being flat and yours look like risers ??

Those are Mary bars, which have a rise.

The Ragley Carnegies are available with no rise, as you linked to, and with +ve or -ve rise: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=42192 (took me a while to spot which was which) – they're the same apart from a flipped logo.

The Carnegies don't have the forward sweep of a MAry bar, so look more like a 'normal' bar with a lot of sweep.
