  • Fix my coffee machine please?

My old gaggia cubika was fine yesterday. Today, it’s not pulling any water through. Makes the usual noises but no water, with or without filter head on. Where do I start with my screwdriver/lump hammer?

    Any ideas?

Airlock in boiler? Try turning it on, but immediately opening up the steam wand to its fullest extent. If you get a few cupfulls of water coming through there, hopefully that will clear the airlock and you can close it, let it refill and pressurise.

If it’s not an airlock and you’ve descaled it thoroughly etc, it may be a tiny bit of crud in the solenoid which stops it from moving – my Classic was doing the same.

When you press the water button on there should be a click which is the solenoid moving, if you don’t get that, then its a possible problem and needs cleaning out.

    Try this guide
