Junkyard

A little bit different and bought new in 83
Plays and sounds like shit though
Not mine, but very very close - it even has a ding in the body in more or less the same place.
Klung - my main is a Yamaha SG2000, massively under rated guitars.. bought mine for £300, wouldn't part with it for 10x that.
what acoustic guitar*would you guys recommend for between £200 -500 to try out? Looking at the guitar guitar web site it would be a choice of yamaha, fender, martin, taylor & breedlove. I'm going to go and try a few out, but any recommendations of others at this price range so I can try and get a go.
I'm also considering a 2nd hand takamine ean 10c, but I want to take my time choosing (but not take forever)
* It needs to be a lefty
Yamaha are usually a good bet, I really liked those I've played.
"Organic355 interesting patch in the bed there D28boy? "
just poor contrast in the picture. It's a pattern on the duvet cover if you're really that interested or do you really mean the D28 is that dull?
What are we doing about blues for CG? We need to get something moving!
Thank you lodious.
Well, there's enough guitars pictured so let's hear what you guys can do with them!
Here's the first song I ever recorded on my Boss Micro
My "liberace" guitar lovely sounding ibanez 12 string
For sale if anyones interested?

I have a martin 00015ce lovely sound but no pics
And a peavey upgraded electric with fender electrics and bridge locking nuts seymour duncan pickups and coil tapped, its brilliant!
A track by me.
Deadman's Waltz
guitarhero - cool!!
Guitarhero very impressive indeed
In fact id buy that.
It would nestle quite nicely betwixt my pink floyd and dire straits
Your pseudonym is apt.
Very very nice that Barry.

Thanks for the comments guys, very kind.
woop woop - hopefully buying a new bass from someone in a few hours (just have to go see that what's on gumtree matches the real thing).
Never had an Ibinez before...
As above, really nice track guitarhero
What are you using for the drums (if they're midi programmed)?
Cheers Tom, drums are from an old Charlie Morgan sample CD. Has loops and single hits, so quite versatile, and sound great (IMO)
Nice work GH...very tasteful, great phrasing!
Don't normally venture over the to chat zone, but as my hubby's at work tonight and I'm home alone (well with baby), here are my two lovely guitars!

Tele - ash body/maple neck by monkey-poo, on Flickr
1962 re-issue Korean Tele (not sure how old it is as I got it secondhand), it's pretty unusual and miles above the Mexican ones. It's not as perfect as the US ones, but it's got tons of character and a beautiful tone...
Also have a great little Martin we picked up in the States visiting my Father in law (back when the exchange rate was awesome). Lovely wee guitar that sounds just as good plugged in as it does acoustic - had never come across that before.

Martin - full guitar by monkey-poo, on Flickr
@MountainMonkey - That Tele looks very nice. Very nice.

Thanks SB, it really is! Ash body, maple neck, sweet pickups and it's just lovely to play...I love it! It was a real diamond in the rough experience at a mate's guitar shop in Devon, I still can't believe how little I had to pay for it. Can't ever see me getting rid of it either. (Just wish I could do it more justice!)
Tyger - how many guitars do you have??
robkhoo - maybe we should have an amp thread too. I do miss the Blues junior I sold when I was pregnant
Who says it was OTT for a practice amp come coffee table?
Got my 8yr old one of these, its not bad. Ibanez Mikro in blue with a little Peavy tube amp.

Sunn Mustang by Fender Music company...I find out recently that its quite a well regarded budget guitar, shame mines in a state!! sounds good though

Epiphone Les Paul

Untreated body, no name neck. Might do some work on this one.. might get some new pickups and a scratchplate that fits!
MM I also have a '62 Fiesta Red Strat but not all original and a Banjo

The rack at the moment - Jap '62 Tele reissue, Edwards Les Paul Jr, '89 Charvel, Tokai Springy Sound, Aria Diamond (Mosrite copy) and '87 home made superstrat.

SRV Strat (may or may not be the real thing - no serial number, so probably not - which makes it a wonderful copy) and another copy - a '62 relic Strat from Wavelength in Sheffield.

Japanese Strat with Texas Specials and other custom gubbins - my main Strat

Newest acquisition - a H/H early '80s Tokai - really nice!
There are more... but let's leave it there.
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I've got a new (to me) guitar

It's a 1996 Ibanez PGM500, in beautiful condition. It plays ludicrously well, and the neck DiMarzio humbucker from Hell is my new favourite pick up.
The previous owner had it signed by Paul Gilbert (who's signature model it is), but I removed it as it's not really my thing, and just looked like someone had drawn on the guitar with permanent marker.

There's a wee vid of it being played on Facebook
loving the PGM - F holes to the max
Nice one GH
at present i don't actually have my own guitar/amp (sold to pay bills it was an indie super t in blonde and a line 6 spider 2 75 watt amp, will put up a pic of guitar from web) i am currently playing a borrowed guitar (actually it was mine, but i gave it to a friend)
it needs a lot of work done to it (bought it 2nd hand) but have been playing un-amped.
this was the guitar that i had (sorry for bad picture)
but i'll now put up some pics of what i am planning on getting next (sorry for long windedness, but do not know how to do multiple pictures in 1 post
am planning on getting one of these babies!
and finally one of these
phew!
oh and by the way i plan on getting a vox vt20+ amp as well.cannot wait.
I've got two teles, two 335s and a couple of guitars that Jahwomble made up for me last year, which I'll have to get photographed and posted up, they're absoutely phenomenally staggeringly good even considering how expensive they were, if he was still with us I'd be ordering some more
I promise to get piccies up later.
