Holy sh1T tyger - tell me about that strat!!!!! 😯

stratobiker - it's an orginal 62 Strat made in Oct 1962 (my birthday month)although it has a Nov 62 neck date stamp. It has original reciepts, hangtags, invoice etc. Plays and sounds like you wouldn't believe. I play it through a 1971 Fender Princeton Reverb amp and it's awesome! Shall I post some more pics?

tyger - yes!!! and some soundclips. How and where did you track it down. Did you have to sell the inheritance? No matter. It's an investment you can enjoy.

That 62 strat looks lovely....did you buy it or was it handed down through the family?

How do you find the EJ strat? I tried a few on one I liked, and two (one of which I owned) I could not get on with (looked good though!)

Love the two SG's too, sweet!

Cheers Tom. Your tracks sound great. Hearing lots of nice melodies that would work. I've given up on vocal songs and am recording instrumental stuff now. Nobody is gonna want to hear it, but I'm not bothered. Best of luck finding a singer.

Apparently the last one is a homemade guitar side bending jig, it will have three 100 watt light bulbs inside it to provide the heat to soften the dampened wood sides, you then wind the rib clamp down to shape the ribs and then pull the spring loaded tubes down to bend the shoulder and base curves

I've given up on vocal songs and am recording instrumental stuff now.

Cool, I tried to get into doing instrumental but my style isn't interesting enough, and I seem to be hard-wired for only being able to write rock songs that follow a typical structure of "intro-verse1-chorus1-verse2-chorus2-middle8-solo-chorus3-end" 😆

tyger - nice I tried a few cutaways but dont really find it all that much easier down that end of the kneck

Not mine, but very very close - it even has a ding in the body in more or less the same place.

Klung - my main is a Yamaha SG2000, massively under rated guitars.. bought mine for £300, wouldn't part with it for 10x that.

what acoustic guitar*would you guys recommend for between £200 -500 to try out? Looking at the guitar guitar web site it would be a choice of yamaha, fender, martin, taylor & breedlove. I'm going to go and try a few out, but any recommendations of others at this price range so I can try and get a go.

I'm also considering a 2nd hand takamine ean 10c, but I want to take my time choosing (but not take forever)
