Nice bike, great colour and great build. What are the brakes, and where did you get the colour matching bar end caps? (I am in need for that exact extra pimpness myself)
mingsta, the Blur LT is not available in that colour, but in "Skidmark" (seriously that's what SC call it) - really cool bronzy brown. A mate bought one recently and it's the dogs danglers
that looks really nice.
wish i could get that exact kit on frames that are over a pound lighter and get them down to just over 32lbs.

nothing miracle about the scales they are industrial digital CEN tested scales. The forks weighed 200grms more after the coil conversion from 2 step air.

I think the idea of 5-6" hardtails is that theyr supposed to be cheeper, not lighter (and all bikes are fun so its nothing to do with that), so a 28lb hardtail might cost £1400 to build, and be not quite as capable as a £2400 full susser.
It's not stoping me dreaming about my next DIY project though, anyone got an old trailstar front end, a heckler rear end and some brazing gear going spare........?
intriguing on the weight front as my Mk1 with DHX air and Lyrik Air weighs 34lbs on my pikey fishing scale-, be nice if they overread!

At risk of thread hijack, what pressures and settings are Nomad owners with DHX airs running (and for what body weight)? I will finally be able to start riding mine soon (bought it the week I broke my knee 3 months ago 
and from just pootling around the block the settings SC recommend seem too low, so looking for pointers and experiences.

Munqe-chick it's running tubeless, Ti coil, 719's, XT cassette, the none steel hone cranks and a light bbg bash my brothers mk1 nomad is 33.8 on the same scales no tubeless and e13 bash.
Maybe mine was colour inspiration!

Nice bike James - would love a ano green nomad and would build build mine up pretty similar to yours. It's a he'll of a lot of bike. Is Alison still on a heckler?
Just a bit off topic but is the shock on the nomad 216x63, just that I'm gonna put a fox van r coil on my heckler and would be good to know that it would go on a nomad? Did you get the monarch with the nomad or pay extra fir the upgrade? And how much did you get for your heckler? Cheers James

There is a guy on mtbr with an ano jalpeno with those wheels on and it looks friggin amazing! Crank bros iodine aren't they?
32lb for a Nomad with Coil shocks front and rear... That's impressive! My Giant Reign X with Air shocks front and rear isn't that light, and I've got some pretty light stuff on it, albeit with Saint Cranks (probably add 1/2 lb over the Hones on your bike) and an adjustable seatpost.
