    got a reasonable camera, a gf1, and just wondering what add ons are sensible to get to get the most from it.

    but, as i am experimenting and finding out what i can do, knowing what i want to do is not as easy as it first seems. hence the vagueness of the question, i guess i am more interested in the environment than i am in people and animals. if that helps narrow it down at all.

    Probably just a plain Skylight or UV filter to protect the front lens glass. A circular polarising filter is a nice addition if you're taking shots outdoors.

    Circular Polariser and ND grads are useful for landscapes – ND filters and a tripod for blurry water shots etc
