I want speedy, wide, light (under 800g) if possible. Not massively bothered about wet performance, I can mitigate that. Must be fast. Don’t want ‘aggressive’ tread.

currently using X-king, before I buy another one, should I look at anything else?

    What diameter?

I’ve used both Maxxis Semi slick 2.35 and Holly roller 2.4 and both were actually OK, the holly roller was for bone dry preferably trail center singletrack only, also had a DMR Moto-R which was a similar design. The HR SS was great even in soft ground as as soon as you leant over more than a few deg it was effectively a highroller.

Do they still make the Racing Ralph in 2.4″?

I just ride rocket rons all year round now. Fast and grippy enough for SS.

sorry, yeah something like a 2.3 or 2.4. Stoner never really got on with Ralphs in smaller sizes, are they better then fatter they get?
