I did try and book earlier on in the year. I'd be up for it next summer, could be risky weather wise after this month is out. Doug?

Hi Guys! Wow, this is a nice thread to find after I've finished trying to get to grips with the HTML of tables for my new website.

Sorry Woodsman, I know you tried to book but I struggled to fit you in with any of the other groups I've had and I didn't want to shoe-horn you into a group that wasn't suitable. With me being new kid on the block I've had a few groups here and a few there so it's been more difficult that it will hopefully be next year.

I was planning staying open until the middle of October because the weather should be fine but by the end of October it will start to change and then November is winter. (We get proper seasons here). Having said that as Mackem says it's raining here at the moment but should just be a couple of fronts passing over and next week's forecast is great. (Typically I've got some journalists and a film maker arriving just as it starts raining!)

jamieandangela, can I ask how you've heard about us? I thought at first you were someone I know but I don't recognise you from your previous posts.

Anyway, it be great to get a group from STW out and show off the trails and the area here. I love it and reckon you all would too! 🙂 My website is a bit short of photos at the moment (new one due in September hence the HTML) but you can see where we've been riding on my flickr account: HERE

Wow! That is amazing 🙄 – Imagine your luck. A whole 25 minutes after you've sorted out your website, you find a thread on the internet talking about it.

    What are the odds?

Lansera I am aware of you and won't get drawn into an argument. Check the history and do the research before you post. Website isn't available for at least another month anyway.

For the record anyway I don't know who jamieandangela are but they've been members for ages and posted a fair bit. Also if I was going to post under a false name (which I'm not) I wouldn't do it a couple of days after fruit made a fool of himself, at the very end of the holiday season a month before my new website was available and I wouldn't have been so blatent.

Anyway, loads of people on here know me and know it's not my style. Loads of people also know or know of you.

I didn't say anything did I? I just mentioned that you're correct it is an amazing coincidence. Much like TandemJeremy and his amazing Sram chain offer yesterday

For the record, I have never spoken to or met Doug……one of my mates who rides xc alot in Spain sent me the details and it seemed like a great idea when you consider we have just had an August where it rained just about every day 🙁

Now I wonder how many meals out and bunches of flowers does it take to get a week long pass to head to Spain??? 8)

Hi Jamie, thanks for posting again and I can confirm that we haven't met… yet! I got your e-mail too and have replied. I guess with the young one it takes a lot more flowers and meals so best of luck with it 🙂

Hi Guys! Wow, this is a nice thread to find after I've finished trying to get to grips with the HTML of tables for my new website.

If I rebuild your site for you properly without using tables, can I get a free holiday? Using table for layout is somewhat akin to using Cantis for braking – it works, but it's not best practice except in specialist cases (i.e. presenting tabular data), and there are better ways to acheive the same end

nice part of the country though, I use to live down the road in Pau

Hi 'myheadsashed', I've already warned her that he can get quite excited! I have a secret weapon though, Sidre; it makes him veeeerrry sleeeepppppyyyyyy! Looking foward to showing them all around though, will be fun!

nbt, I wish I'd had that offer 6 months ago because I'd have bitten your arm off and thrown in unlimited Sidre too! I don't have a clue what I'm doing with this stuff. My web guy promises me it'll be ready in a month because I've got some stuff coming up that I really need my web to be ready for.

Yeah, nice part of the world isn't it? Did you do much biking around here?

Hey Lovewookie! I did indeed slip out the back door as it were! It all got very hectic as I was leaving so didn't get out with you lot very much in the last few months.

Yeah, living the dream! Spent Monday clearing trails with my machette, Tuesday wrestling with web-stuff and today fixing a pile of inner tubes, greasing stuff and changing tyres! I'll be riding for the next week though so it's all good!

Hopefully see you on the trails over winter or out here if you ever fancy it! All the best to you too! 🙂

I remember looking at the site before – looks lovely. I might see if we can pop up from Madrid for a weekend next year (or maybe the long weekend at the beginning of October – are you open on the weekend of the 9th)

Me and Mark Alker are here right now. Just had breakfast and am looking out the window on a classic rural basque scene. Niiiiiiiiiiice! Article to come in the mag. So far, very impressive. Amazing accommodation. Shed head – I heard that!!!!!

If you have time head over to Lekeitio for the goose festival on Sunday. It consists of people trying to hang onto a goose until it's neck breaks. It'ss a lot more fun than it sounds.
