Currently planning / dreaming of a family holiday down south. It will be a camping holiday for 2 weeks with a 2 year old child.

I’m thinking Exmoor would be nice. Is there enough to do there for 2 weeks?

Can’t go to Cornwall / Bath area as we’ve been there and need to go elsewhere.

Any recommendations of campsites would be extremely useful too.

Dorset’s nice. Lovely beaches in studland/bournemouth/poole etc.
There’s lots of things to do down that way too. Look around the wareham area, corfe castle, durdle door, that monkey world that’s on tele, crab catching off the jetty, boat trips across the bay. We had a lovely holiday there a few years back.

2nd Dorset – around Lyme Regis – there’s lots of family friendly stuff.

Burrowhayes farm at West Luccombe would be a great destination for the family campers. Good facilities, located right next to the woods. 15 minute walk through the woods/lanes to Porlock (takes 30 to walk back after a night in the top ship though 🙂 )

New Forest is good, lovely walks / family rides in the woods, lots of places to visit, plus only 20 mins from the beaches at Bournemouth.

Prpoer camp site with a very good pub

Holiday park with pool etc and a great name!

There’s a nice campsite at Seatown which is just east of charmouth and Lyme Regis. It’s right on the beach and there’s a pub. Also sites at uplyme within walking distance of Lyme Regis.

Norden Farm campsite near Corfe Castle would be good.
