Weighing up the need for new lights on second hand websites I have found a MK2 six pack and a MaXx D Mk6 at similar prices. The MaXx D is newer and slightly more expensive. Admittedly I could be buying a dud with either but think its worth a punt.

Has anybody used the MaXx D Mk6? The six pack looks more powerful but is presumably an older unit. Is the MaXxD Mk 6 enough?

How are Exposure with repairs out of warranty? Has anyone any experience ?

Of course the Maxx D is enough, I’ve still got a mk1 (or 2, I forget) Maxx D, and that’s enough, but as it’s all a bit of an arms race having more is nice.

IMO the Six Pack is too big and bulky, and the extra output isn’t that useful. I’d have the newer and smaller unit. Worth noting the new Mk7 Maxx D is brighter than the Six Packs to have gone before.
