    Hi all,

Struggling to plot a graph in Excel…

Let’s say I have 5 clients. There are 3 distinct events (let’s call them Event 1, Event 2, and Event 3) which each client will experience, but at different times. I have the data of the dates of these events for each client.

I would like to plot a graph with time along the X axis, and the 5 clients listed up the Y axis. For each client, I would like a red dot for when their Event 1 occurs, blue dot for Event 2, and green dot for Event 3.

How on earth do I do that?!

    Thanks!
    Duane.

    Scatter Chart, switch axis?

    How is your data layout?

    Client Event1 Event2
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5

    ?

Yep, data is currently in format:

    Client Event1 Event 2 Event 3
    1 Date Date Date
    2 Date Date Date
    etc

hmm, ‘line with markers’ chart, then remove the lines. Format your markers to match the clours you want?

But time is on y, not x. Can’t see a trivial solution to that, but will think about it.
