    Anyone tried them? Good/bad?

Tempted to get one and wear with the 661 sub gear, rather than the full-on pressure suit which I hate so much.

i picked one up a few weeks back.

have yet to use it out on the trails as there is still too much snow around.

after extensive living room and around the block testing i can say that the pack sits very snugly on my back. the high neoprene waist straps mean that the pack doesnt move about and that much of the weight is carried on my hips, not shoulders.

the 20ltr version can swallow my sleeping bag, tarp and other crap for an over-nighter out on the hills.

the back protector can be removed or worn separately. it probably doesn’t offer as much protection as a stand-alone back protector, but it’s a very good compromise when compared to the Deuter Attack pack (Deuter pack is VERY heavy and not so practical in use).
