Thinking of going skiing in January for a couple of weeks. Having been on a previous trip where the rear wheel bearings collapsed on the way home, and we had to catch the train home via Paris and Eurostar

I am after either Hire car or hotel / b and b costs ,and repatriation. Not really that fussed about the car being recovered as it cost £425 18 months and 50,000 miles ago.

The AA have quoted £103 on t'interweb, which seems abit high, although they might add abit as my cars 15 years old, which is the upper age limit they cover.

Alternatively its Easyjet and a hire car. Cost is almost the same, but i like the drive and you can carry food etc out and booze back…hmm Pelforth Brune.

So anyone bought sensibly priced insurance recently??

have you thought about just buying insurance for the day you drive out and back? As 2 individual day trips it might be easier.
