no reason why though – unfair trial because of all the coverage???

Funnily enough I was just thinking about this yesterday and wondering what has happened. It would have been good to get justice but to be honest he's probably been puniched enough.

Looing forward to the event this year.

Not an ideal precedent to set though.

    "internet hate campaign"

quite an interesting way to get your case dropped – the fact that there was public outrage at this mans actions has now meant that he will not go to court?

    sets an intriguing precedent:
    1) commit crime that upsets a large number of people
    2) feed lots of internet forums with "hate" messages
    3) ask Procurator Fiscal to drop case
    4) PF drops case
    5) off the hook.

Is he 'off the hook' though? Legally speaking yes but I would imagine his idiotic behaviour has screwed up his life at least a wee bit.

Still would have been nice if he'd at least been fined.

Dropped due to lack of evidence? In which case we should adopt the usual "innocent until proven guilty" approach.
