I live 5 miles from my work. I thought that riding a bike to work everyday instead of public transport or driving can make things easier and save money. It’s susburban with lots of open space to ride the bike and little traffic. Anyway, after deliberating that I could get tired or sweat while riding the bike, I came up with this idea of getting an electric bike but I know no one who has ever done an electric bike. So anyone have any experience with an electric bike for commuting?

Ton has spoken the truth. Your granny could do 5 miles each way.

Ton is correct. Five miles? Hardly an effort needed, just ride at a chilled pace and you’ll hardly break a sweat. Just think of it as a faster walk. No lycra, no racing. See Amsterdam to learn how to do it.
