  • Elbow pads – POC only. VPD 2.0 or Air?

Had a pair of the original POC VPD ones and lost them on a mountain. 🙁 So, time to replace them. However, since I bought mine, they’ve updated them to 2.0 (OOOOh, snazzy!) which look pretty good, and then added the “Air” version.

Will be used for uplift days almost exclusively, so is there any real benefit to the lighter airy version? Anyone on here have any experience of both/either?

Will be buying POC regardless, as the fit was perfect for me. Knees are RaceFace, so I clearly don’t care about the fashion police!

Check Tweeks, 2.0’s on offer and pretty cheap in the Black Friday guff!

Can’t help on the difference though.

I bought the VPD 2.0 as they will provide more protection in the event of a spill.
Don’t really notice them when they are on.

Thanks for the Tweeks tip off fathomer, just bought meself a new pair of the VPD 2.0 knee pads for £50. My 3 year old pair are looking a bit ropey now.
    They really are bargain prices!

I have VPD 2.0 elbows/knees/shins. Not bulky IMO, I’ve done full days with them and forgotten they’re on.
