Just been riding the Elan Valley the past week, did the route from above elan village out round the Gro hill then Nant Gwyllt descent, from there up over Pen y Bwllch down to Dolfallen, the hill up to Pen y Bwllch is unrideable even the wind struggles going up it.

Does anyone have a route for the Rhayader golf links, and which is the best end to start from?

    thanks

Starts here if you want to ride it as a descent.

    http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=292185&y=270665&z=120&sv=292185,270665&st=4&ar=y&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf&dn=804&ax=292185&ay=270665&lm=0

We normal ride it as a climb at the start of a route the drop back down it to finish off.

Anyone thought of some dates to organize a ride around there, obviously local knowledge advantageous nudge nudge.
